The Oxford

Well they can't all be good posts. I had lunch at this restaurant today and the food left a lot to be desired, both me and my lunch companion felt like the food we ordered we could have saved our money and made it at home.  The ambience of the restaurant was nice the furniture, the seating, and set up were excellent but the food just did not meet up to the atmosphere of the restaurant.  I guess if you do not believe me you can go check it out.  It is where Yancey's used to be downtown on Fayetteville St. across from the courthouse.  I did see a bar, maybe they make better drinks!!!!!

Sarah Skeen Photography

Okay first things first lets talk about one of my favorite special finds here in Raleigh.  Sarah Skeen calls herself an amateur photographer but she is far from that.  The two pics I have on my website were taking by her and I know they are small but if you click the link should take you to her website.  I also only put abstract photos up because I did not have the permission of her subjects to post them.  Sarah did some boudoir pics for me and that were nothing but awesome.  The quality that stood out for me the most is that when I contacted Sarah and explained the type of photo shoot I wanted, we actually had a sit down meeting/consultation whatever you want to call it so that she could get a better feel for me and I could do the same with her.  It wasn't that feeling that you get when you go to a studio and it is almost like a wall between you and the photographer you don't know what they want you to do and do not feel they know what you want from them and at the end of all that you feel pressured into buying pictures for an astronomical amount.  I guess that brings me to my closing point, because Sarah considers herself to be an amateur she is going to provide you with prices that are so good you are going to feel like you are the one ripping her off.  Trust me I know!!  Check out her site and talk with her, you will not be disappointed.
